I wanted this song to feel very long and big, because boss battles can drag on for hours if you don't grind (why do people design their games like that?)
It's supposed to be epic, yet not TOO epic, because this is not the final boss, i wanted to balance the feeling of epicness and emotion, because this is a long and difficult journey, but it is also something to overcome! And i wanted that feeling of overcoming the most gruesome foes to dominate the feelings of this song, it is meant to be empowering, but also a bit anime-ish
This song in particular is very inspired by Xenoblade, Romancing SaGa/SaGa Frontier, and games in the Atelier series
The guitar solo in particular was very inspired by Xenoblade Chronicles's "You Will Know Our Names" (fun fact: you can hear bits of the main theme of this album in the guitar solo notes!)
In 2015, i made my first RPG boss theme, it was called "The Chains of Destiny", so i wanted to reference that song in the title
This time, you've broken the chains, and it is time to conquer destiny!

This is amazing. I hope you make more music like this track one day. I hope you are having many devs urging to hire you. If I ever made a videogame I would ask if you could make the ost. captainplus64
